The Autistic Mind
A project to help people understand autism in Scotland a little better.
Working with a steering panel of people with autism I helped create this poem and film that highlights some of the differences they may experience - but also why those differences are a good thing.
Animated by Dan Binns at Aardman and voiced by Kelly MacDonald this project was made remotely in lockdown.
The Social Rulebook
A follow up mini-campaign was inspired by one of the steering groups own experiences in social situations. Whether we realise it or not we all follow a social rulebook, all those unwritten ‘rules’ that shape our everyday interactions and the way we navigate the world. Marion and some other people with autism feel like their social rulebooks are written a little bit differently - so we created a short film and and eBook to try and help people better understand this experience for people with autism.
